  This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry or booking request. Submissions are transmitted securely via Wix forms and stored under their privacy safeguards.
  Please avoid including sensitive health details in web forms.

• All patient records are securely stored in Cliniko, a NZ-compliant encrypted electronic health record system.

• Appointment reminders and contact details may be stored temporarily on secure, password-protected devices for communication purposes only.

• No clinical notes or health data are stored outside Cliniko.

• Access is restricted to authorized staff who require it for your care.

• Records are retained and destroyed in line with the Health (Retention of Health Information) Regulations 1996.

• We maintain technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to prevent misuse, loss, or unauthorized access.
   

4. Sharing Your Information

Your information is not shared without your explicit consent, except where required by law.
Information may be shared when:

• You have provided written consent via a signed release form (e.g. to coordinate care with a GP, specialist, or allied health provider)

• It is required by law or for compliance with funding or regulatory bodies (e.g. ACC, WINZ)

• It is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious threat to health, safety, or public welfare

• It involves de-identified data for training or service improvement

We never release information to insurers, employers, or family members without written authorization.
 

5. Communications

We may contact you via email, text, or phone for appointment reminders, follow-ups, or care-related updates.
We do not send mass marketing or promotional messages.
You may request to opt out of non-urgent communication at any time, though essential reminders and updates will continue.

Electronic Communication:
Handcrafted Chiropractic primarily communicates through secure Cliniko systems.
When referrals, reports, or forms are sent electronically via Cliniko, they are encrypted for security.
While all reasonable precautions are taken, electronic communication carries inherent risks beyond our control.
By engaging with our services, you acknowledge and accept these standard communication methods.

All third-party partners maintain their own privacy and security standards.
By using our website or booking online, you consent to limited data processing necessary to deliver these services.
 

8. Online Payments (Future Use)

If online payments are introduced, Handcrafted Chiropractic will use a secure, PCI-compliant provider such as Stripe.
Card details will be processed directly by the payment provider; Handcrafted Chiropractic will never store your full card information.
Only payment confirmations and references are kept for accounting purposes.
Stripe’s privacy and security policy will apply to all online transactions.
